Paul Barnett has posted a couple of interesting photos. One is a photo of the cloth map. The other is a photo of the virtue cards.

Actually I would love to get those cards too! They’re obviously inspired by the Ultima IX ones, but with different art. Love them.

Holy crap, those are awesome. I am giddy just looking at them. Sergorn’s right. Who do we have to blackmail? If BioWare/EA don’t make these available for purchase, they are missing out on some gold crowns, and quite frankly, they would have sorely misunderstood their target audience.

  Heh funny this is the very same suggestion I made on twitter, a collector’s edition condition the Cloth Map and the Cards (and well perhaps a manual and a CD ?).
  
  Which granted would be weird for a F2P game… but hell, I’d buy it.

I’m on board with everybody else. I would *totally* drop a few crowns on these awesome geegaws (and all stashed in a proper 80’s Origin Systems-era box with the “classic” Ultima logo would also be a nice premium, IMO).

while I like the main site illustration I thibk that being centered only on the Fighter, Mage and unanmed antler-girl is too reminiscent of games like Diablo I and Torchlight.

I just noticed they put another image on Facebook that is obviously the back side of the Virtue Cards.

Juste like the front, it is very reminiscent of the Ultima IX Virtue Cards. One point of note though: Look at the Silver Serpent.

It’s not the same anymore!

Which is not surprising I guess, because as I recall Richard Garriott also kept the rights of the original Silver Serpent symbol when he left Origin in addition to his Lord British persona.

Not a major thing, but it was fun to notice.

I’d be wiiling to pay to get a box with the art on front, with a cloth map, the deck of cards, and a CD containing the game (instead of downloading it). Now th e question is: does EA want my money or not; because I want this !
