UltimaForever.com Relaunched, With New Screenshots, Game Details
Concurrent with the release of the Ultima Forever trailer yesterday, UltimaForever.com — the official Ultima Forever website — was relaunched. Of course, it also quickly dropped off the radar again, presumably due to a heavy surge in inbound traffic.
It’s back up now. And rather than being a front-end for beta signups, it has been re-modeled into an actual, proper website for the upcoming Ultima game, and includes an “about” page that gives a few more details about the antagonist that we were warned about in the trailer, the Black Weep:
Set twenty-one years after the events of Ultima IV, the world of Britannia is slowly being engulfed by the Black Weep. It is a faceless plague that consumes the spiritual, instills fear in the valorous and corrupts the honorable. Lady British has called forth for heroes like you to help save the world before it is consumed by the endless dark. It’s up to you and your fellow players to help save the land. Delve into this expansive saga as you search for a cure to the Black Weep, and meet many of Britannia’s inhabitants along the way. Choices are a big part of the experience in Ultima Forever: Quest for the Avatar, and decisions should be made wisely as they may have a later impact.
As well, the site features a handful of screenshots, which give a look at various aspects of the game including the moral quandries it presents players with, combat (of course), and the dialogue UI. You can check out the new screenshots on our screenshots page here, or check them out along with everything else at the Ultima Forever website.
