The Ultima Forever Facebook Page Ponders eBay
An amusing — at least, I think it’s amusing — new post was added to the Ultima Forever Facebook page earlier this week:
A moral quandary indeed.
“You discover someone is auctioning off a map that you gave them for free. Should you do anything about it?”
The page links to this eBay sale, in which one of the cloth maps for Ultima Forever that were given out at the San Diego ComicCon is being auctioned off.
The three choices presented are:
- Relax! It’s none of your business what someone does with a free gift.
- Either give more maps away, or find a way to sell some at a fair price.
- It’s better that the map goes to a true fan, rather than being thrown away.
…which I suspect may be a sly attempt to gauge interest in whether Ultima Forever fans would like Ultima Forever schwag to be made available in larger quantities and for a fair price.
At any rate, none of the answers suggest that the eBay seller is in any danger of legal repercussions. But seriously…why not hit up the poll and vote for more maps being made available? You know you want one…
