Citizens of Paws
NPCs
Outside
Chief Guard Wilmoore – Oversees the guard of Paws. When the player reports Ryan’s involvement in the theft at Folley Tavern, he asks the player to assault the bandit hideout in the High Hills.
Sir Hobie – Seems to be one of the town guard.
Jingles – A jester plying his trade in the middle of town.
Andre – A blacksmith. He will ask you to fetch Magical Gems from the High Hills. He occasionally bemoans the fact that the High Hills bandits loot the town too often.
Sven – A woodsman.
Brian – A woodsman. He occasionally bemoans the fact that recent bandit raids have interrupted the lumber trade with Britain.
Felisha – A woman of the village, who seems to often hide out behind the Smithy.
Nick – A man of the village, who seems to often hide out behind the Magic Shop.
Sharon – A farmer.
Tony – A farmer. He occasionally complains about the High Hills bandits’ raids and wonders why nobody is taking action against them.
Postmaster Darren – The postmaster for (apparently) all of Britannia, based out of Paws. He will accept Guard Kilroy’s letter from you.
Wizard Raskin – A wizard. He will ask you to fetch him a Necrolith Shard from the High Hills. He has evidently polymorphed his apprentice Zildan into an cricket.
Harry – An adventurer. He will boast about having bested daemons and other horrors.
North Woodsman – A nameless woodsman. He stands near the Unlimited Chest in northern Paws.
South Woodsman – A nameless woodsman. He stands near the Stables.
Farmer – Another farmer. If approached, he will quote Sam Gamgee’s Old Gaffer.
Sentry – Another member of the town guard. He patrols a circuit through Paws.
The Stables
Stablemaster – Owns and maintains the stables.
Francesca – A stablehand.
Unusual Horse – This horse will look you over as though judging your clothes, or as though wondering why you’d try and talk to a horse.
The General Store
Kristin – Runs the General Store. Her husband Ryan used to work at the Smithy, but has evidently run off and fallen in with the High Hills bandits that are plaguing the town of late. She will also ask you to recover some stolen Glowing Fungi for her.
Damsel – A druid.
Folley Tavern
Greg – The head cook. He is the one that tells you about Kristin’s husband Ryan after you inquire about the battered keg in front of the tavern.
Rob – Another cook.
Sal – The barmaid.
Barren – An adventurer.
Pierre – A blacksmith. He has but three concerns in life: his hammer, his anvil, and his four year-old daughter. He will tell the player about firing Ryan.
Zair the Wise – A mage. When the player shows him the Stygian Gold found in Luckless Keep, he will initially act very dismissive, and demand that the player help various citizens of Paws before returning to ask him about it again.
